About the Role

The Senior Salesforce Developer will lead and manage the development, implementation, and upkeep of the Salesforce platform. This position blends technical leadership with hands-on development, guiding a team while contributing directly to the project. Ideal candidates will have substantial Salesforce experience, leadership abilities, and a passion for innovation.

Education & Experience:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent verifiable experience.
  • Preferred: 5+ years in Salesforce development with strong expertise in declarative and programmatic coding (Flow, Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, Salesforce APIs).
  • Experience leading development teams is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of custom Salesforce solutions, including applications, automations, and integrations.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of Salesforce developers, managing performance and fostering professional growth.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Maintain and optimize the Salesforce platform for high performance and availability.
  • Develop and implement best practices for development, including coding standards, data governance, and documentation.
  • Conduct regular code reviews to ensure code quality and efficiency.
  • Stay updated with Salesforce releases and integrate relevant features into the platform.
  • Collaborate with other teams and external vendors to ensure smooth Salesforce integration with other systems.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading Salesforce development teams.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I or II, and Salesforce Sharing and Visibility Architect are highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce development practices, data security, and governance.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to manage confidential information.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit-specific Salesforce needs (e.g., Nonprofit Success Pack) is beneficial.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and project prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
