About the Role:

The Senior Salesforce Administrator oversees the daily configuration, support, maintenance, and enhancement of Salesforce. Working closely with philanthropy, sales, customer success, and finance teams, this role develops and implements new business processes to optimize Salesforce operations. This position requires expertise in Salesforce administration, IT, and technical project management, making it a unique opportunity to contribute to both technical and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary administrator for a Salesforce environment with 50+ users across multiple teams, including philanthropy, marketing, finance, and district partnerships.
  • Manage all administrative functions, including user setup, page layout modifications, field creation, report generation, dashboard support, system updates, and training for internal stakeholders.
  • Translate business needs into scalable solutions using Salesforce capabilities such as Flows, Apex, and custom applications.
  • Lead discovery meetings to assess needs and document best solutions.
  • Manage Salesforce integrations, including AppExchange tools and custom data connections.
  • Contribute to long-term Salesforce strategy by aligning system use with organizational goals and supporting planning for future releases.
  • Collaborate with the internal Salesforce team in an agile development environment, participating in stand-ups, sprint planning, and ongoing communication.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience: 5+ years in Salesforce administration or development.
  • Certifications (preferred):
    • Salesforce Administrator (ADM201 or ADM211)
    • Platform Developer (PD1 or PD2)
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Deep knowledge of Salesforce configuration, including custom objects, processes, reports, and views.
    • Experience with advanced Salesforce functions such as declarative automation, Visualforce, Apex, Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP), and trigger management.
    • Ability to manage development and deployment from Sandbox to Production environments.
    • Experience integrating Salesforce with Marketing Cloud.
  • Additional Skills:
    • Proficiency in productivity tools such as Google Workspace, Confluence, Slack, and Jira.
    • Experience in marketing or fundraising automation is a plus.
    • Familiarity with nonprofit and education sector processes is beneficial.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

  • Competitive salary: $127,423 – $159,279 USD (compensation depends on skills, experience, and internal pay equity).
